Dealer Tip at the US Poker Championships

It was recently posted here that at the USPC the winners toked $1100
each for a combined $3300 while taking down $700,000. Apparently the
fact that they took down $700,000 was the factor that made this such a
grievous offense. Someone please tell me what this number has to do
with the dealers making a living. Do their bills go up at a higher
entryfee tourney? I’m curious as to what the hourly wage was for the
dealers. Here is my computation with numbers that I’m not sure of (most
of em) made up. I’d like to see someone with more info correct these.
Thanks.
Approximately $700k + prizes / (EF = $7500) = about 100 entrants (?)
100 entrants = starting off with 10 tables
Here things get really iffy as I don’t know how quickly the action
accelerated.
10 tables -> 5 tables takes 6 hours = 45 man hours
5 tables -> 2 tables takes 4 hours = 14 man hours
2 tables -> 1 table takes 2 hours = 4 man hours
final table for 4 hours = 4 man hours
Total hour in box = 67 man hours
xPush factor of 1.33 (could be 1.5) = 89 man hours
If only top 3 are responsible for toke (tho I’d assume they’d be only
paying 70% of it):
$3300/ 89 man hours = $37.08/hr
I fully concede this # may have no basis in reality, but await someone
rewriting this with the correct figures.
