That is correct. Otherwise you're paying too much for your chips. By holding out
til the break, you minimize your real$/T$ ratio. The problem is you gotta weather
thru four rounds, one being 80-160 on T200. If you played zero hands, the blinds
would cost you T225, assuming one lap every 15 minutes. Therefor, you gotta take
at least one stand. If you don't win it tho, you should probably take yet another
to try and get over the hump to make it to the one-hour mark. After losing your
first pot, there's not much difference between T120 and T40 if you're going in
to rock mode for an hour. In a tournament like this, I'd try to minimize my
investment and benefit from the overlay provided by all the multiple-rebuyers.
If there were a large # of rebuys before the break, I'd spend the money to try
and make it myself, if things went south early, but not til I had gone all in
and lost. Otherwise, I'd just wait til next week. The goal is to play against
everyone else's dead money, not be the dead money yourself.
